Michael has over 14 years recruitment experience and as a Brisbane local, has built a deep network and strong market expertise here in Queensland. Having joined one of the leading Global Recruitment brands after university, Michael’s career has grown with the industry that he is so passionate about. While he is degree qualified as a marketer, his knowledge and expertise across recruitment also spans into digital, technology, finance and sales.

Michael has built a reputation as an out of the box thinker. He enjoys the daily interaction and is naturally interested, if not invested in the journeys of companies and candidates.

Libby Kidd
Director

Libby has 17 years recruitment experience in Australia and the UK working for Global Recruitment brands. Throughout this time, she has held leadership roles and been instrumental in building industry and market networks. Libby’s areas of specialisation are within Sales & Marketing, where she has recruited across Public Sector, Blue Chip, Commercial and Start Up organisations from entry to senior executive level.

Libby is passionate about candidate and client experience and creating value throughout the recruitment process. With a candid and honest approach, Libby values relationships and works to build a deeper understanding of what people are seeking from a recruitment partner.

Yes.  We recruit positions as short as one day through to ongoing positions. Candidates are paid
either on an hourly or daily rate and payment is made weekly.

Where does the name “Gybe” come from?

By definition from dictionary.com, Gybe is defined as “To shift suddenly from one side of the
vessel to the other when running before the wind, as the result of allowing the wind to catch
the leech.”
 
To simplify, “gybe” (ji-be) is a sailing term where the stern of a boat crosses the eye of the
breeze, resulting in the sail changing sides of the boat. This “change in direction” is the
inspiration behind our name. We endeavour to positively change the direction of people’s
careers by being a trusted recruitment partner.
